About CommsStack
CommsStack is an independent directory of internal communications software, built for the comms, HR and IT people who have to choose it.
Why it exists
Buying internal comms software today means reading "best intranet" lists written by the vendors themselves, or paying for analyst reports. CommsStack is a neutral, searchable alternative: every listed fact links to the vendor's own public page, and anything we can't confirm is marked Unknown rather than guessed.
It is run by a practitioner who builds custom digital solutions for enterprise internal communications, so we care about the questions buyers actually ask: does it fit Microsoft 365, can frontline staff log in without a work email, and what does the AI really do?
How we collect data
- We read each vendor's public website (homepage, product, pricing, integrations and about pages).
- A capability is marked Yes only when a sentence on the vendor's site supports it. That sentence and its link are shown next to the fact.
- Unknown means we could not confirm it. It does not mean the product lacks it.
- AI features are quoted, not paraphrased, with the date we checked. Each quote is reviewed by hand, and only concrete product capabilities are kept.
- We respect each vendor's robots.txt when reading their site.
- Pages that vendors publish specifically for AI crawlers (llms.txt-style pages) are never used as evidence.
- Pricing is shown only when the vendor publishes it.
- Comparisons and "alternatives" ordering are generated automatically from confirmed facts.
Disclosure policy: featured and verified listings
- Listing is free. Every relevant vendor can be listed at no cost, and corrections are free.
- Featured listings are paid and always labelled. A featured vendor gets a clearly marked "Featured" badge and placement in a separate featured slot shown above the regular results (on its category page, in homepage search results it matches, and on comparisons in its category). Paid placement never changes the facts on any page, the order of the regular results, the comparison tables or the "alternatives" order.
- Verified listings mean the vendor has confirmed their details with us and supplied public sources. Verification may be part of a paid package. It is a statement about data freshness, not an endorsement.
- Newsletter sponsorships are marked "Sponsored" and kept separate from editorial content.
- No paid reviews, no pay-to-remove. We don't sell rankings, and we won't remove accurate, sourced information because someone asks.
- Affiliate links: none at present. If that changes, those links will be labelled.
- Conflicts of interest: the operator works in enterprise internal comms consulting. Any commercial relationship with a listed vendor will be disclosed on that vendor's page.
Current status: there are no featured, verified or sponsored listings on CommsStack yet. Pricing is public on our advertise page. Policy last updated 2026-10-20.
